Groton Township
Fire Department
conducted vehicle fire training for our newest departmental members.
Two separate evolutions with two separate vehicles were ignited. The
newest members worked on becoming proficient with:
- Rapid donning of "Self-Contained-Breathing-Apparatus"
- Proper water flow streams
and friction loss
- Pump Operations
- Staging (placing
apparatus in proper location)
- Using typical fire tools
for forcible entry
The picture to the right shows
a new firefighter applying a hose stream to a training vehicle fire.
