Groton Township Fire Department continues training at the Strecker Road home that is scheduled for demolition.  This month's training included instructors from Perkins Township Fire Department.  Members were taught techniques in self rescue and the proper tools/training for Rapid Intervention Team.  A "Rapid Intervention Team" (R.I.T.) is comprised of a team of firefighters that are stationed outside each structure fire to make protect fellow firefighters.  Most neighboring fire departments utilize outside departments for "Rapid Intervention Teams".  The exercise was conducted August 10th, 2004.
