History

The department pursued to replace two older used Squad units that were converted to haul various tools and to respond to all medical emergencies with a single multi-purpose unit.  This unit is similar to many larger metropolitan area's "Heavy Rescue Truck".  We now have the capability to put all of these resources into one unit thereby eliminating the need for two trucks.  Also, the two previous units replaced were early 1980 models that were requiring extensive work.
