Groton Township Fire Department offer Carbon Monoxide detectors to the residents of Groton and Oxford Township for $35.00.   The detector includes all mounting hardware, battery and instructions and is UL approved.  When residents are purchasing Carbon Monoxide detectors, please make sure that you purchase one that is powered by normal house (AC) current and has a battery (DC) backup. Groton Township Fire Department offers smoke detectors to the residents of Groton and Oxford Township for $6.00.   It's recommended that a smoke detector is placed on each floor of a house. The detector includes all mounting hardware, battery and instructions and is UL approved.   For elderly, residents with limited fix incomes or single parent homes, Groton Township Fire department can install smoke detectors at NO CHARGE.  To order, simply click on order form or contact the fire department.
